In addition, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is open 24 hours, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slots, 36 table games, and 4 dining rooms. There are many other dominant Iowa gambling dens, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.
A smaller Iowa casino is the Diamond Jo, a paddle wheel boat gambling hall in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 slot machines, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend river based, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 slot machines, and 14 table games. An additional Iowa paddle wheel boat casino, The Isle of Capri, is available all day and night, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 slot machines, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot paddle wheel boat gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 slot machines, 14 table games, live productions, and Thursday chemin de fer events.
Iowa casinos provide an excellent deal of tax money to the state government of Iowa, which has allowed the funding of a lot of commonwealth wide activities. Tourism has grown at a rapid rate along with the request for services and a growth in jobs.
