• Cambodia Casinos

There is a captivating history to the Cambodia casinos that reside just across the border from nearby Thailand, where gambling den gambling is prohibited. Eight gambling halls are based in a generally small area in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling halls is in a perfect location, a three to 4 hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest betting locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a huge business with Thai blue-collar workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very couple of Westerners. The amazing income gained from the casinos ranges from $7.5 million to more than 12.5 million, and there are a couple of restrictions constraints for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is presumed to be largely Thai; however, investment sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 09:00 to 1700, and despite the fact visas are allegedly required to pass, there are ways around this, as is true of most borders.

The first Cambodia gambling halls opened in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving only 1 gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored boat casino, contains one hundred and fifty slot machines and sixty tables. The Naga gambling hall never closes with 42 tables of mini-baccarat banque, four tables of vingt-et-un, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The first gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long opened. There are 150 slots and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machines and 68 table games at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features three hundred slot machines and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and ninety six gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat banque (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machines and 66 of the normal tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the eight casinos in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machines and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-around resort and hotel compound that highlights a number of comforts aside from the gambling hall, which contains 10,000 square feet of one hundred and thirty slots and eighty eight gaming tables.
